HAYLO
Players “Playing-Up” Policy

HAYLO encourages players to participate in the game of lacrosse within their appropriate grade bracket in order to build team unity, improve the players overall confidence and develop / enhance appropriate skills.

Players may be asked to play-up at the sole discretion of the HAYLO Board. A player may be invited to play–up by HAYLO, after consulting with the appropriate team Head Coach. HAYLO will only extend an invitation to play up under the following circumstances.

1. A HAYLO Head Coach’s child is a grade lower than the team the parent is coaching.

2. In the event there are roster spots which need to be filled in order to properly field a team for league and tournament play.

3. Advanced Team Player that exhibits the appropriate individual and team skills/concepts in order to compete at the higher grade level both physically and developmentally. This invitation will only be made providing there are open roster positions. This means HAYLO will not turn away a player on the waitlist in favor of extending an invitation to a player to “play-up”.
